This months Branch meeting will feature a panel discussion on Convergence, with photographer Edmond Terakopian and film editor Simon Ruben. Clients are always asking us to do more; whether it be video, audio, text or all three on top of photography. We’ll be discussing how to adapt to clients growing needs for content with shrinking budgets. Should photographers be doing the jobs of reporters and film-makers at all? What are the pitfalls of moving into different areas? Come along and join the discussion.

Next weeks branch meeting will feature a panel of branch photographers who covered the election discussing how the media were manipulated, working without accreditation and paying for access.
Photographers Stephen Simpson and Graeme Robertson will be talking about their experiences.

Our next meeting will be on the future of copyright with Andrew Wiard, Guy Smallman and NUJ freelance organiser John Toner. The panel will be discussing current negotiations with the Guardian, the Bauer Media dispute and future strategies for negotiating changes to copyright law.
