4. The LPB calls upon the re-elected editor of The Journalist to cease using photographs from international agencies that are a major factor in the diminishing
income of our members. In addition, the LPB supports giving equal bylines to writers and photographers / illustrators

5. LPB recognises the important press freedom work that has been done to highlight abuses from the state and private security through the campaign, “I’m a Photographer Not a Terrorist”.
This branch pledges to actively support the NUJ backed collective legal action against police harrasment and surveillance of journalists and will donate £500.00 towards the new press freedom film (No.3 in the trilogy).

John Toner couldn’t come for personal reasons and Roy Mincoff,
the NUJ law officer, came along at the last minute.
MOTION:
The London Photographers’ Branch asks the NUJ to approach the Metropolitan Police, and other constabularies in England and Wales, to establish a permanent land and mobile phone line,f or use, if necessary, when NUJ members are covering events.
